Peer Rating/Honors

Dan was named “Best Lawyer” by The Best Lawyers of America© in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs, and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs.  This award was published in US News & World Report© and Honolulu Magazine©’s Best Lawyers magazines.  In 2014, Dan was selected to Super Lawyers which is limited to a small number of attorneys in each state.  As one of the few attorneys to garner the distinction of Super Lawyers, Dan has earned the respect of his peers as one of the top-rated attorneys in the nation.

Education

Having grown up in Honolulu, Dan graduated from Punahou School in 1986.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1990, and a law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in California in 1993. 

Membership

Dan is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, and the Hawaii Association for Justice, a consumer-oriented legal association.  He has worked on over a dozen appellate cases, including five cases that resulted in published opinions.  Dan has been selected both as a private arbitrator and as an arbitrator in the Court Annexed Arbitration Program.
