Hawaii’s Injury Lawyer updated by the Nat’l Assoc. of State Head Injury Administrators (NASHIA): New Data on Nonfatal Injury and Leading Causes

As a lawyer who represents persons with an injury caused by an accident in the State of Hawaii, I’ve found it imperative to be part of the community which I serve.  This starts with proximity to my clients.  The Law Offices of Ian Mattoch has offices on Oahu, the Big Island, Kauai and Maui.  As an attorney that isn’t afraid to advocate for my clients not only with regard to their personal injury claim, I fight for my client’s rights and resources on the State and Federal levels.  As president of Brain Injury Association of Hawaii and board member of the State of Hawaii’s Department of Health’s Neurotrauma Advisory Board, Ian receives updates from the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators.

In this weeks Washington Weekly (November 1, 2013), NASHIA reports new data available on the Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System (WISQARS) Nonfatal Injury and Leading Causes of Nonfatal Injury modules to include 2012 data regarding sex, age groupings, mechanism and intent of injury.  The Nonfatal Injury and Leading Causes of Nonfatal Injury modules provide national estimates of injuries and injury rates for persons treated in United   States hospital emergency departments from a variety of sources.  Users of the WISQARS online system can search, sort, and view the injury data to create reports, charts, maps and slides.
